Anyway, exams' over and results were out. Most of us did ok and I am grateful for that. For those who will need to stay back, all the best :) We will head to IC2 together.
So, life after exams have been busy....research research and more research. It has been really far more interesting than I expected but I know that it isnt what I am looking forward to do for the rest of my life. One thing I learned is that having a 'famous' supervisor does not make u learn more, instead, I do appreciate those who come into the lab and spend time with us regardless how busy they are. So, fellow juniors, take my word :)
Below are some pictures of places that I've visited after exams...
Clonmel
Jean, a friend of mine who is originally from South Africa but migrated to Clonmel, Ireland invited me to stay over at his place with his family over a weekend. He brought me over to his dad's farm(with no animals) and we jungle trekked for awhile.
It's a really quiet and lovely place to spend your summer break but the bus ride there was crazy. The 3 hours bus ride became 4.5 hours due to the traffic jam in this place called Kil Kenny. I think it was due to their elections.
That's Jean's house. He has this super huge feild next to his house and not forgetting that his house is located on top of the hill. The best part is, his family is only paying less than Euro 1600 for the 5 bed room house. Our 2 room apartment in Dublin already cost us Euro1450. Beat that!Money sucker city.
I will post up pics of Jameson Distillery and some shots of Dublin city sometime this week.
Jeff :)
